General information

Fire tanks are one of the fastest, most effective and reliable methods of protecting property from fire. It is necessary that the water tank is always nearby and, if necessary, provide firefighters or employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the necessary amount of water.

Application

The fire tank is designed to store the volumes of water used to extinguish a fire. This type of tank can be of land, as well as underground use. In addition, fire tanks can be made in a stationary and transport version. The latter are intended to deliver water volumes to the source of ignition. Delivery is carried out by road or by means of an external suspension of the helicopter. Stationary models of fire tanks, as a rule, are used for the purpose of long-term storage of water or as an intermediate storage.

Structural versions

Choosing fire tanks for water it is necessary to take into account the conditions of production, the area of ??the enterprise and the arrangement of the fire-prevention system thereon. When choosing a fire tank, it is necessary to clearly understand the following:

  • Which fire tank capacity you need. In this case, take into account that water supplies should be sufficient in case of any fire.
  • A time term necessary to extinguish of the source of ignition completely.
  • Approximate number of possible fires per unit of time (week, month, year).
  • The number of jets, their power and the height of the feed to extinguish fires.
  • Number of required free-standing tanks on a site.
  • The time term during which the fire tank must be filled by all means.

So, for example, on a small facility, the optimal solution will be the use of an underground tank, which will not only save space, but will also significantly reduce evaporation of the liquid.

Regarding installation in relation to the ground, fire tanks are divided into:

  • Ground
  • Semiunderground
  • Underground

Regarding the form and design, fire tanks are divided into:

  • Cylindrical vertical
  • Cylindrical horizontal
  • Square
  • Rectangular

Regarding the number of chambers:

  • single-chamber
  • multi-chamber

Concern Medved will produce tanks of various models to create a water reserve from 3 to 120 m3. Among all the constructive solutions – both individual and standard – we will choose the option that will certainly match the fire protection system of your enterprise.
