Water-to-water preheaters (horizontal, sectional) are designated for heating  and hot water supply systems,  in  which  hot  water,  supplied from  boilers  or  heat-supply  mains  of  heat  and  power  plants,  is considered to be a heat-carrying medium.
Water-to-water preheaters can be also applied for other systems, in which heating or cooling of a liquid is required (for example, as condensate cooler for steam-to-water preheaters). At the same timeparameters of heat-exchanging mediums should not exceed those values, which are established for the conditions of these preheaters’ application in heat-supply systems.
We manufacture the following serial sectional water-to-water preheaters:  Ду50 (Дн=57mm),  Ду65 (Дн=76  mm),  Ду80  (Дн=89  mm),  Ду100  (Дн=108  mm),  Ду150  (Дн=15   mm),  Ду200  (Дн=219  mm), Ду250 (Дн=273 mm), Ду300 (Дн=325 mm), Ду400 (Дн=426 mm), Ду500 (Дн=530 mm), with the section length of 2000 or 4000 mm.
Piped  systems  may  be  manufactured  from  plain  or  corrugated  brass  pipes.  Upon  request  of  a customer, shells and piped systems of preheaters can be manufactured from special steels and alloys.
Sectional  preheaters  (shell-and-tube  heat  exchangers) are  composed  of  shell-and-tube  sections, which  are  joined  into  the  blocks  of  pre-set  heating efficiency  with  the  help  of  connecting  units.  For connecting  to  the  pipelines  of  heating-system  water tapered  pipes  are  applied  between  preheaters’ shells  and  pipelines.  Each  section  represents  a  non-separable  block,  consisting  of  shell,  tube  plates,heat-exchange surface tubes. Shells of preheaters’  sections are made of steel tubes and connected by connecting branches with each other.
Detachable  variant  of  sections  allows  arranging  production,  transportation  and  site  assembly  of blocks with different quantity of same type sections depending on designation, temperature conditions,heat-exchange  area  etc.  In  preheaters  water  designated  for  heating  flows  though  the  tubular  system tubes and heating water flows through an annular space, observing counter-flow principle.
Estimated service life of preheaters is 20  years. Warranty period of operation is 24 months since the date of putting the heater into operation, but not more than 36 months since the date of shipment to a customer.

Heat flow of a section is indicated provided that the heated medium speed is 1 m/sec, medium
consumption  in  tubular  space  equals  to  medium  consumption  in  annular  space,  temperature  drop  in
preheater for heated and heating mediums – 45° С, average logarithmic drop in temperatures – 10° С
Preheater should be equipped with:
1) control and stop valves;
2) devices, indicating water pressure and temperature;
3) safety devices.

Recommended diagram for installation of gages andvalves. It is an obligatory one if design
documentation for prehearet installation is not available.

Reliability indexes:
1) established no-failure operating time Ту, hours, not less – 8000;
2) mean lifetime between overhauls, years, not less- 5.
